Custom Fishing (EvenMoreFish)

Fishing on The Hive isn't just cod and salmon. Every cast can hook a custom fish with its own rarity, size, and cash value — plus timed fishing competitions with prizes.

What you'll learn

  • →Fish normally with any fishing rod — custom fish replace some vanilla catches
  • →Each fish has a rarity (Junk → Legendary) and a coin value
  • →Sell your catch instantly with /emf sellall
  • →Join fishing competitions for prizes — they start automatically
  1. 1

    Just start fishing

Cast a fishing rod like normal — custom fish appear automatically

You don't need a special rod or command. Craft an ordinary fishing rod, find water, and cast. Alongside the usual vanilla catches you'll start reeling in custom fish unique to The Hive.

Each custom fish shows its name, rarity, and length in chat when you catch it. Length is randomised — catching an unusually large one is its own little flex.

    â„šī¸
Higher Luck (from the Fishing skill in AuraSkills) improves your odds of hooking rarer fish. The two systems work together.
  2. 2

    Understand rarities and value

Junk → Common → Rare → Epic → Legendary, each worth more

Every custom fish belongs to a rarity tier. Rarer fish are harder to catch and worth far more when sold. The tiers run from Junk (near-worthless) up to Legendary (rare and valuable).

Hold a fish and hover it in your inventory to see its details, or sell it to find out its worth.

  3. 3

    Sell your catch

/emf shop to open the sell GUI, or /emf sellall to dump everything

Custom fish are sold for coins, not eaten. Two ways to cash in:

    /emf shop

Opens a sell GUI — drop fish in to see and confirm their value.

    /emf sellall

Instantly sells every custom fish in your inventory at once. Fast, but it sells everything — don't run it if you're saving a Legendary trophy.

    âš ī¸
Sellall is all-or-nothing. If you want to keep certain fish (for display, food, or trophies), use /emf shop and sell them individually.
  4. 4

    Compete in fishing competitions

Competitions start on their own — fish hard to top the leaderboard

Every so often a fishing competition begins automatically. A bossbar and chat message announce it. During the event, players race to win based on the competition type — usually most fish or the largest single fish.

You're entered just by fishing during the window. Check the live standings with:

    /emf top

When the timer ends, the top players win prizes. No sign-up needed — just be fishing when it's running.

    ✅
Stockpile bait and pick a good fishing spot before a competition. When one starts, you want to be casting immediately, not crafting rods.
  5. 5

    Use baits and the journal

Apply baits to your rod for better odds; track catches in your journal

Baits are special items that boost your chances of catching certain fish or rarities. Apply them to your rod with:

    /emf applybaits

Track which fish you've discovered with your personal journal:

    /emf journal

It records every species you've caught — a fun completionist goal alongside the coins.

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • ✓Level the Fishing skill (AuraSkills) — higher Luck means more rare and Legendary catches.
  • ✓Don't /emf sellall if you're holding a trophy fish you want to keep — use /emf shop instead.
  • ✓Competitions start automatically — keep a stocked rod handy so you can jump in instantly.
  • ✓Baits stack the odds in your favour; save your best baits for competition windows.
  • ✓Custom fish are pure income — fishing AFK-style at a good spot is a steady, low-effort earner.
