Server Rules

The Hive is a semi-lawless survival server. Claim your land, watch your back, and play smart. A short list of hard rules keeps things fair — everything else is fair game.

1.General Conduct

  1. 1.1Treat all players with respect. Harassment, hate speech, and bullying will result in a permanent ban.
  2. 1.2No spamming in chat. This includes repeated messages, excessive caps, and flooding.
  3. 1.3Keep chat appropriate for all ages. No explicit or offensive content.
  4. 1.4Keep global chat in English so everyone can follow along — use local or private chat for other languages.
  5. 1.5No advertising other servers, services, or links in chat.
  6. 1.6Do not impersonate staff or other players.

2.Griefing & Stealing

  1. 2.1Griefing and stealing from unclaimed land is allowed — the wilderness is lawless.
  2. 2.2Towny claims fully protect your builds and chests. Claim your land and your stuff is safe. Don't claim it and you take the risk.
  3. 2.3Bypassing claim protections via exploits or glitches is a bannable offence regardless of intent.
  4. 2.4Griefing within a town by a town member is a matter for the town mayor, not server staff.

3.Cheating & Exploits

  1. 3.1No hacked clients, X-ray, or unfair mods. Allowed: OptiFine, minimap mods (no entity radar), performance mods.
  2. 3.2Do not exploit bugs or duplication glitches. Report them to staff instead.
  3. 3.3Autoclickers and macros that provide an unfair advantage are prohibited.
  4. 3.4AFK farms must not cause excessive server lag. Staff may remove offending farms.

4.PvP

  1. 4.1PvP is enabled in the wilderness and in towns that have PvP turned on — check before you fight.
  2. 4.2Spawn-killing and kill-trapping are not allowed. Give players a fair chance to leave.
  3. 4.3Luring players to their deaths through deception is not allowed.
  4. 4.4Towns can toggle PvP for their territory. If you want a safe haven, claim your land and disable PvP.

5.Economy & Trading

  1. 5.1Player-to-player scamming is allowed at your own risk — trust is earned, not guaranteed.
  2. 5.2Shop signs must be accurate. Misrepresenting items or prices in QuickShop or Auction House listings is not allowed.
  3. 5.3Do not attempt to crash or exploit the server economy deliberately (e.g. mass price manipulation).

6.Staff & Appeals

  1. 6.1Follow all instructions from staff. If you disagree, appeal calmly through the appropriate channel.
  2. 6.2Do not argue with or disrespect staff in public chat.
  3. 6.3Ban appeals and reports should be raised with a staff member privately.
  4. 6.4Staff decisions are final unless successfully appealed.
